OPERATION: CREATE BOOK LOVER
Hey friends,
It was only a year ago today that my son and I spent part of his half-day off school visiting one of my favorite used book stores. (Oh how I miss bookstores!)
If you hadn't noticed by now I LOVE BOOKS. My childhood was spent literally cozied up with my head in a book. #nerdalert
My books were my best friends. I talked to the characters. I put myself in the books. My dreams at night included their stories. And I would feel a sense of dread when the book was coming to an end.
Books expanded my imagination and my understanding of the world within me as well as outside of me!
My love of books continued throughout college where I majored in Political Science and Women's Studies (a comparative literature degree). And then I went on to get my master's in journalism, write numerous articles and manage and contribute to the content for multiple online media outlets including the Huffington Post and CNBC.
My love of knowledge and reading led me to law school where I served as Editor-In-Chief of the Law Review. And I acquired a specialization in protecting the intellectual property of others - especially creatives (that's writers y'all).
So, it only makes sense that I help others write books (ghostwriting and author coaching), edit books and make their book dreams come alive. And as an IP and Business attorney, I help people protect those same assets!
And as a Transformation Coach, aka The Upgrade Queen, I help women uncover the stories blocking them from their best lives. Isn’t it amazing how life works out?
Call me biased but I believe everyone should love and read books! And I am doing my best to nurture this same love in my son!
